Kris Kozamchak
General Manager-Dallas
Kris Kozamchak, a senior consultant based in Dallas, specializes in
developing and implementing strategic public relations programs
for clients in technology, healthcare, education, and retail.
Previously, Kozamchak was a vice president at Edelman Public Relations
Worldwide where she worked extensively with telecommunications equipment
and data networking corporations to provide a range of strategic
public relations programs and media and industry analyst relations
efforts. At Edelman, she directed teams for EDS, MetroPCS, InnerWireless,
VocalData, RADVision, Stonehouse Technologies, JP Mobile, Stick
Networks, Ensemble, and i2 Technologies.
Prior to joining Edelman, Kozamchak was the director of public relations
at MAX Internet Communications, a high-tech startup focusing on
education and healthcare. MAX Internet provided Internet video communications
such as video conferencing/monitoring and video streaming through
the desktop and set-top boxes. While at MAX, she provided strategic
planning and managed product launches and corporate announcements,
media and analyst relations, and various marketing activities.
Previously, Kozamchak was a senior manager at Nortel Networks where
she worked in the Enterprise Networks division. Her public relations
efforts focused on product lines such as call center and CRM, wireless
and IP PBX, multimedia communications, unified messaging (voice,
fax, and e-mail) and data networking with vertical focus on healthcare,
education, and retail. During her time at Nortel Networks, she was
an integral part of a team that successfully launched the CallPilot
messaging platform and the Symposium brand line of call center,
CRM, and multimedia products. Kozamchak also worked with the president
of Nortel's Enterprise Networks division writing speeches and developing
strategic presentations for customers, employees, and outside speaking
engagements. While at Nortel Networks, she also worked with the
VPIM Consortium to promote the VPIM (Voice Profile for Internet
Mail) standard with member companies to the outside community.
Kozamchak gained additional PR experience at Miller/Shandwick Technologies
where she served on the account teams for clients in the wireless
industry including Lightbridge, Spectrian, Rangestar, CBIS, and
Sprint PCS. She also headed the original account team in the Dallas
office that launched Sprint PCS' service in the Dallas/Fort Worth
area.
Prior to the agency, Kozamchak worked in the marketing and PR department
at Ernst & Young in the Entrepreneurial Services and High Technology
practice in Washington, D.C., and Tampa, Florida, focusing on the
technology, healthcare and education markets. Kozamchak received her
B.A. in public relations with a minor in business from West Virginia
Wesleyan. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America
and is a volunteer and board member for Special Olympics Texas.
